Sister Siridona died on 25 June 2009 at 101 years of age in the St. Heriburg House in Münster. She was born on May 7, 1908, in Seiffersdorf/Silesia, entered our congregation 1930. She came in 1962 from Odrau by way of the border transit camp Pidding in upper Bayern, into the Germany Republic and to the Motherhouse in Münster. During her nearly eighty years of our congregation; she worked as a nurse and geriatric nurse in various institutions. Sister M. Siridona, as a Franciscan Sister, collected herbs and flowers in the gardens and woods. So she always had the suitable tea or her “Ringelblumensalbe” for the troubles of some sisters. Sister M. Siridona still sang her favourite song the "Ave Maria” in the highest tones. May she find now her eternal homeland in the heavenly choir.
