I am Sr. Mary Beth Bux of the American Province. I was born in Belleville, IL, in 1947 and was raised in this Midwestern community in a family of two other siblings. I entered the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis in 1965.
I am a registered nurse by profession and have worked in many areas including medical-surgical hospital care, nurse educator, in a residence for pregnant teenagers, among our older Sisters at our infirmary and health office in the American Province, and in community services of Justice Office, Vocation Ministry, and spiritual direction.
I have served in Provincial leadership roles in my own Province and in 2006 was elected as a General Councilor.
