The Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis have been involved in domestic and foreign mission work throughout their history. In addition to their 13 hospitals throughout Illinois and Wisconsin, the Sisters have responded to the needs of the poor by living, working and volunteering in communities throughout the world.
In 2002, the Sisters organized a Mission Outreach Program to provide assistance to their Sisters in Haiti and Tanzania and to be a tangible public witness to the Congregation’s missionary spirit. In addition, the Program offers meaningful opportunities for Sisters and the Laity to better understand the developing world through education, volunteerism and travel to Mission sites around the world.
In addition to our generous benefactors of medical equipment and supplies and our faithful volunteers, we welcome the financial support of individuals, organizations, and businesses that can assist us financially.
