Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis

Sister Marie Clare Scheible

✝ Sunday, June 12th 2016

“Well done, good and faithful servant,

…come and join in your Master’s happiness.”   Matthew 25:21

Sister Marie Clare Scheible was born in Rochester, New York, on June 27, 1924, the daughter of Anthony and Florence Servatius Scheible.  She entered the Congregation on September 8, 1947 and professed her religious vows on June 13, 1950.

Sister Marie Clare had a full and energetic life serving in many areas of ministry.  We can all recall her big loving smile, her crazy antics at parties, the eye of her camera catching events and sharing the pictures with others, homemade calligraphy cards for all occasions, Fluff girls quarterly weekends at the Villa Clare, and much more.  Sister was a wise and practical mentor, compassionate and encouraging.

She loved to teach that we are mind, body, spirit and that all components need to be nurtured, thus her Wholistic Touch Massage Therapy.  Each client received a personal prayer

A feeling of gratefulness was expressed by many Sisters and friends when we learned that Sister Death came for Sister Marie Clare on June 12, 2016.
