Sr. M. Josephine
"You did not choose me, but I chose you"
Jn. 15:16
My childhood
I am Sr. M. Josephine born on April 08, 1983 at Ottamam. I belong to the parish of Andichurani. My parents are Mr. Arul and Mrs. Mary. I am the eldest in the family and have two sisters and one brother. I had a loving grandfather who inspired me and encouraged me to become a nun and my parents were also supportive. The inspiration of my grandfather was always at the back of my mind. I nurtured it as I was growing in age. He was the one who sown the seed of faith in me and was my role model and guide.
My call to Religious life
I joined our congregation in the year 2000 on July 1st at the age of 18 after finishing the higher secondary studies. During the four years of formation, I had lot to learn. There were struggles and difficulties to adjust with the newness of life. I was always ready to respond to His call. By God’s grace and blessings, I made my first vows on April 20, 2005 and final vows on May 25, 2013.
My Apostolate
I am a nurse by profession. I have completed the studies of General nursing and Midwifery in 2011 and worked in our Health center at Ramgarh for two years. Currently I am rendering the service in our Health center at Pithora. I find happiness and joy to be a part in the healing ministry of Jesus. I am proud to be a member in our Franciscan family. I love my religious life and my congregation.
I thank God Almighty for His abundant goodness, love and the opportunities given to me to serve the humanity.
