Christmas 2018

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
which means, “God is with us.”
Mathew 1:23

At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus.  It is very clear that God does not love at a distance.  Son of God, the Immanuel that means God with us.  The divine presence among us.

In our daily lives, we search for personal presence of those who care about us and those we care for.   Because there is a silent bond of love that binds us with another.   God does not want to live that love at distance. His love is personal and communicates the same by His very presence.

He comes to us in tangible form at every Holy Mass.  Celebration of Christmas is a remembrance to everyone of the Word becoming flesh to pitch His tent among us.  Each of us live in the heart of God and his presence is visible among us at the Eucharist.

Let us celebrate this Christmas with deeper awareness of the unconditional love of God at the Holy Eucharist, God becoming flesh.  At this Christmas, let us make an effort to be with people who need our very presence.   People who are lonely, sick and aged.  May we become present to those who look forward for a visit from us. Let us not disappoint them.

May our visits be a tangible sign of the presence of the Incarnate God.

A grace filled Christmas and a Blessed New Year 2019!
