Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis

Sister M. Hildegaria Voß

✝ Tuesday, August 7th 2018

For you are my rock and my fortress;
for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.
Psalm 31:4

On August 7, 2018 our dear Sister M. Hildegaria née Klementine Voß was called home to God in St. Heriburg House, Münster.

Sister M. Hildegaria was born on December 15, 1925 in Westenholz, district Paderborn. She entered our Congregation on January 28, 1949 and made her first profession of vows on May 3, 1952.

First, Sister M. Hildegaria served in various hospitals of our Congregation. From 1967 - 1973, Sister M. Hildegaria committed herself at the visitor’s entrance in St. Mary Hospital in Ahaus. In the autumn of 1973, she changed to the Motherhouse. For about eight years she served at the visitor’s entrance and in the admitting department of St. Francis Hospital in Münster. In June 1981 she changed to ‘St. Borromäus Hospital’ in Leer / Ostfriesland. Here she worked for about 25 years at the visitor's entrance and in the admitting department. Her life was marked by deep faith in God and kind-heartedness. She met all people with great attention and helpfulness.

In May 2006, due to her age, Sister M. Hildegaria changed to St. Irmgardis-Convent in Telgte.

In May 2017, as a result of the restructuring of the Sisters retirement homes, she transferred to St. Heriburg House, Münster. Here she initially committed herself at the visitor’s entrance. During her days of illness, she was lovingly accompanied by the Sisters and the employees.

This morning about 4:15 AM she returned her life into God’s protective hands. In prayer and with gratitude, we commend Sister M. Hildegaria to God’s love and care. May she be secure in His peace and experience the perfection she desired.
