Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis
You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. Col 2, 12
Our dear Sister M. Scholastika Weßling went eternal home to God in Anna-Stifit in Lohne-Kroge on August 29,2019.
Sister M. Scholastika was born on June 3, 1929 in Cloppenburg. She entered our Congregation on August 19, 1961. She made her first profession on May 3, 1964.
Sister M. Scholastika passed her examination as a Medical-Technical Assistant at the State-approved Educational Institute in Münster in 1968 and then served at the St. Francis Hospital in Lohne in the laboratory and in the X-ray department from 1970 to 2011. With great devotion she worked in the healing ministry of our community.
The life of Sister M. Scholastika was marked by deep faith and great kindness. Many people experienced her help again and again. With determination she followed the way of simplicity and deep bond with God. She loved music and played organ for many years in the chapel of St. Francis Hospital.
Sister M. Scholastika lived for about 8 years in St. Anna-Stift, Lohne-Kroge. She did not rest there either. She continued to work as an organist and helped at the entrance desk. Sister M. Scholastika had a close relationship with her relatives and was happy about her grandnieces and grandnephews. She included all her relatives and the concerns of the Congregation, the Church and the World in her prayers.
In recent months, her general health condition has worsened. Trusting God's compassionate love and gratitude, she returned her earthly life to the protective hands of God yesterday afternoon at around 14:40.
With gratitude and prayer, we recommend our dear Sister M. Scholastika to the love of God. May she now be protected in His peace and experience the completion which she longed for.
