God has written us in his hand and God's hands are good hands!

                                                     (Cardinal Höffner)

This morning, December 14th, 2020, the earthly journey of our dear  Sister M. Annuntia Albacht was completed in St. Francis Hospital in Münster.
Sister M. Annuntia was born on May 19, 1936 in Lohne/Oldenburg. She entered our Congregation on August 10, 1957and made her first profession of vows on May 3, 1960.

In 1959, Sister M. Annuntia successfully completed her studies as a nurse. In 1965, she trained as a medical-technical assistant. For many years, she worked in various hospitals in the X-ray department. From 1984 - 1985, she took part in the annual seminar for management tasks at the Werner School in Göttingen. From 1985 to 1992, she served as superior in St. Marien Hospital in Friesoythe. In April 1992, she moved to St. Bernhard Hospital, Brake. As superior, she also took care of the hospital library and the archive. Her life was marked by deep faith in God, by selfless concern and willingness to help others. Attentively, lovingly and patiently, she committed herself for the patients. True to her vocation, she was loyal in her faith journey.

In autumn 1998, she returned to the Motherhouse. For almost 20 years, Sister M. Annuntia served in the archive of our Congregation.

She was always very interested in all happenings within our International Congregation, in the Church and in the world. She gladly carried all the concerns entrusted to her to God in her personal prayer

For herself, she remained humble, unpretentious, and content. Sister M. Annuntia supported our Sisters in Poland and our missions in India, Haiti and Tanzania by packing and sending many relief items.

Since autumn 2018, Sister M. Annuntia lived as a Senior Sister in St. Heriburg Haus Münster. Over the past weeks, she was progressively dependent upon care. About two weeks ago, her health deteriorated and she was admitted to the University Clinic in Münster as an emergency case. After a few days, she was transferred to St. Francis Hospital.

Trusting God's merciful love, and in the hope of an eternal life in Jesus Christ and perfection in God, she gave back her earthly life into God's hands this morning, December 14, 2020 at around 6:00 a.m. May for Sister M. Annuntia her come true, in what she always put her trust.

We say goodbye to her with gratitude. We believe that she is now called to the Eternal Supper.

Remembering her in prayer and in the celebration of the Eucharist, we remain united with her.

Due to the current Corona situation, the Eucharistic Liturgy is on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., only in the closest circle, in the chapel of St. Heriburg Hause. Following the Mass, the burial for Sister M. Annuntia will be in our Sisters cemetery in Münster. May Sister M. Annuntia rest in peace.
