Sister M. Conradine Brand

✝ Wednesday, December 16th 2020

Resurrection is our faith, Reunion our hope, Remembrance our love. St. Augustine

In the hope of the completion of life through Jesus Christ, our dear Sister M. Conradine Brand, passed away in St. Anna-Stift in Kroge yesterday evening, December 16, 2020.

Sister M. Conradine was born on September 15, 1935 in Altenoythe Oldenburg. She entered our congregation on August 14, 1959. She made her first profession on May 3, 1962.

Sister M. Conradine learned the profession as a nurse.  From 1962 to 1989, she worked in this profession in various hospitals. With great personal care and a high level of empathy, she lovingly and competently cared for the patients entrusted to her. From 1989 to 1993, she worked in geriatric care in the St. Augustinus Haus in Nordwalde. In January 1993, she moved to the motherhouse, where she worked in the refectory. In 1994, she came to St. Henricus Stift, Südlohn. She worked there at the entrance desk and in the cafeteria.

In November 2012, Sister M. Conradine moved as a senior sister to the St. Anna-Stift in Kroge, where Sister M. Burcharda, her sister, also lives. Her deep faith and her bond with Christ shaped her life. Her personal prayer and the Holy Scriptures were always a source of strength. She was happy to take all concerns with her in her prayer. She consciously prepared herself to go home to God. Yesterday evening around 7.20 pm, she slept peacefully in the Lord.

We gratefully say goodbye to Sister M. Conradine. To her sister, our Sister M. Burcharda, we offer our sincere condolence.  We believe that Sister M. Conradine is now called to perpetual communion with HIM.  Remembering her in prayer and in the celebration of the Eucharist, we remain united to her.

The Requiem will be celebrated on December 22, 2020, in the Herz-Jesu Church in Lohne-Kroge in a small circle. The funeral takes place in the afternoon at 2.30 p.m. in the local cemetery. Due to the corona situation, the usual rules apply.
