Sister M. Maxelenda was born on May 30, 1933 in Coesfeld-Stockum, North Rhine-Westphalia. She entered our Congregation on August 14, 1954 and made her first profession of vows on May 3, 1957.        

 With her humorous, friendly nature and her outgoing personality, she repeatedly brought joy to the people, entrusted to her. As an authentic Franciscan, she always radiated cordiality, benevolence and contentment.

Trusting God’s merciful love and with great gratitude, she returned her earthly life into the protective hands of God in the presence of her religious Sisters in St. Franziskus-Haus, Nordwalde, on June 25, 2016.

We are grateful to God for the life of our Sister M. Maxelenda and ask Him to reward her all her goodness during her life and to take her into the Father’s eternal dwelling. We will remember her in our prayer and in the celebration of the Eucharist.
