Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis
My God and My All! (St. Francis)
The merciful and kind God completed the life of our dear Sister M. Cherubine Krieft.
Born: July 3, 1928
Entrance: January 31, 1953
Profession: October 28, 1955
Died: July 27, 2022
Sister M. Cherubine was born as the daughter of Bernhard and Elisabeth-Krieft in Harsewinkel, where she grew up under the care of the family. After the elementary school in Harsewinkel, she attended the home economics school in Gütersloh. On the school leaving certificate it is mentioned that she is friendly and modest and that her diligence is praiseworthy.
At the age of 25 she entered our congregation. She completed nursing training and later attended the annual seminar for leadership tasks in Köln-Hohenlind. After working as, a nurse in Kirchhellen, Emstek, Gelsenkirchen-Erle and Kamp-Lintfort, the community entrusted her the responsibility of a superior in Telgte (1975-1981), Wilhelmshaven (1981-1987), Glandorf (1987-1993) and Löningen (1993 – 2006). After this long period of great responsibility, she came back to Münster and worked at the old province entrance. In 2015 she moved to the St. Heriburg-Haus in Münster as a senior sister.
We got to know Sister M. Cherubine as a straightforward, conscientious and responsible sister who felt connected to tradition.
We gratefully bid farewell to Sister M. Cherubine. We remember her in prayer and in the celebration of the Eucharist and remain united to her.
On Monday, August 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., we will celebrate the Eucharist in the Motherhouse Church and then accompany Sister M. Cherubine to her final resting place in the Sisters' Cemetery. Because of the corona pandemic, the usual rules apply.
