Christmas 2017

Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace to people of good will! (Lk.2:14

Seek Peace is the theme of the 101th Catholic Days gathering planned for May 9-13, 2018, in Muenster, Germany.  Preparations are underway to make it a memorable event in the lives of German Catholics.
How do we relate this theme to Christmas? Where and how do I search for peace?
The message of the angels to the shepherds is applicable still in our time.
All people of good will desire peace, yet violence in many forms, continues unabated in much of the world.  Peace is elusive to many people.

Thousands of our brothers and sisters languish in refugee camps while many more are constantly moving looking for shelter, and security. How do we bring the message of the angels to life for these poor ones?
Jesus birth represents peace, love, joy, hope, goodwill, kindness, and humility as God finds a home in us.  EmmanuelGod with us -Do we recognize Him?

Peace is a gift of the Holy Spirit; let us welcome “the peace of Christ” with gratitude. If we collaborate with the Divine Spirit, following the example of Mary and St. Francis, what is good in us will gently nudge us to live in harmony with the entire creation, praising and glorifying God through our daily life.
May this Christmas bring us all the grace we need to walk with the Divine Child, in a life of peace, love and service.

May your Christmas be blessed with grace and peace!
