Indian Provincial Chapter 2018


On January 27, 2018, the second Provincial Chapter of the Indian Province opened with the theme Being the Splendor of ChristThe chapter concluded on February 2, 2018.

Eighteen Sisters served as capitulars and seven Sisters were consultative participants. 

Fr. Mathew Azhakath, OCD, served as the facilitator and moderator for the Chapter of Affairs.

Sister Christa Maria Frie, the General Vicaress, presided over the chapter of election. 

PROVINCIAL SUPERIOR: 
Sister M. Dolly was elected to serve a second term of four years.

Sister M. Tessy

During a Eucharist celebration on February 2, 2018, the newly elected leadership team was installed in office.  

Father Sebastine Poomattam, the Vicar General of the archdiocese of Raipur, celebrated the Eucharist liturgy.  Many Sisters from the Indian Province participated in the liturgy.

The Chapter Delegates presented Recommendations for action to the Sisters of the Leadership Team as well as to the Sisters of the Province for the next four years.  Sisters of the Province promised their cooperation and support to the new leadership.

May the Lord bless and accompany Sister M. Dolly, the Sisters of the Provincial Council and all the Sisters of the Indian Province, as they strive to “Become the Splendor of Christ”.
