Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis
“My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior” Lk. 1: 46-47.
I am Sister M. Celine, born in Kerala, Ernakulum district on 20th May 1960 as the youngest daughter of late Mr. Varghese and Theressia. I have a brother and a sister, settled in Kerala.
I had the great desire to be a nun from my early childhood onwards. My parents were very pious and were regular for spiritual practices. I did my schooling in a diocesan school, taught by the Sacred Heart Congregation Sisters at Kothamangalam. Those sisters were a source of inspiration for me to become a nun. I had a great admiration for St. Francis of Assisi. I was helped by a Franciscan Clarist Sister to pursue my vocation.
I joined the Congregation in 1985 at Pithora and journeyed through the years with the guidance of Sister M. Gerburg and Sister M. Werburg. On 17th January, 1989, I made first vows and final on 19th January 1994.
I sing the praises of God Almighty for His faithfulness and accompaniment all throughout my life. I celebrated the silver jubilee of my religious profession in 2014. I had the opportunities to serve God’s people in various places through Socio-pastoral activities and at present I am engaged in the sewing department at Ramgarh.
