Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis
I am Sister M. Beata, née Regina Kapica, and I was born in 1951 in Ozimek, Opole, Upper Silesia, into a working-class family of five children.
Following my A-levels (Abitur), I entered the Community in Ołdrzychowice in 1970. From 1973-1978, I studied psychology at the arts faculty of the Catholic University Lublin and specialized in educational psychology.
From 1979-1997, I worked part-time in the children’s home in Rengersdorf and also held classes in religious education in various parishes.
I held the office of Provincial Secretary and Treasurer in the Polish Province in the years 1984-1994 and later, in 1995, took charge of the home for senior citizens in Dobrzèn Wielki. I was elected Provincial Councilor in 2002. Between 1985 and 2006, I participated in various international conferences and was a member on different committees in our Congregation.
I was elected to serve the International Congregation as a General Councilor at the General Chapter 2006 and reelected for the same office in 2012.
