Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis
“Come”, says my heart, “seek his face”; your face, LORD, do I seek!
Do not hide your face from me. (Psalm 27:8-9)
Relying on God’s love our dear Sister M. Arminette née Maria Bröß passed away on February 25, 2018 in St. Francis House, Nordwalde.
Sister M. Arminette was born on May 9, 1928 in Gelsenkirchen-Buer. She entered our Congregation on October 7, 1954 and made her first profession of vows on May 3, 1957.
For many years, Sister M. Arminette served as a nurse in various hospitals. From 1966 to 1989 she worked in St. Joseph-Stift in Sendenhorst in the outpatient nursing care. In addition to her hospital involvement, as a skilled tailor, she helped out in the sewing room.
In the spring of 1989 she came to St. Elisabeth Hospital in Dorsten. Here she served for nearly 24 years in the sewing room of the hospital. With great zeal and joy she dressed every year the little "angels" for the Christmas visit to the patients and accompanied them on the hospital wards. In February 2013, Sister M. Arminette changed to St. Josefshaus in Lüdinghausen-Seppenrade because of increasing complaints of aging. As far as her strength allowed, she assumed small services in the convent. Nearly two years ago, Sister M. Arminette came to Nordwalde to St. Francis House. As a resident, she was completely dependent on care.
In the last few days she suffered from a flu infection. Suddenly and unexpectedly, God took our Sister M. Arminette home, while the Sisters were celebrating the Eucharist in the chapel.
Lord, give our deceased Sister M. Arminette the fulfillment of her desire and complete her life in Christ. Let her see your face. Amen
