Sister M. Christella Watanabe

My name is Sister M. Christella. I was born in 1944 in Niigata prefecture in Japan.

I was 17 years old when I was baptized. After graduating from nursing school, I had worked at a University Hospital for three years.

After this time, I joined our community. I served in our community as a nurse, supervisor, nursing director, hospital administrator and Provincial Superior in our Japan Province.

From 2000 to 2012 I served the congregation as general councilor. I was enriched by the experiences, encounters and working with Sisters of our International Congregation.

At the General Chapter 2018, I was elected as General Vicaress to serve the Sisters in this ministry for our whole Congregation.

I try to remember the names of persons whom I met, in order to express the respect, love and interest to the person.
