The Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis want to share with you the charism with which we have been entrusted within the Roman Catholic Church and hope that you are able to identify this spirit in these "pages" that we have prepared.
As an international congregation, our Sisters serve in Germany, Poland, the United States of America, Japan and India.
We strive to live our form of religious life not as one of escape from reality, but as a living answer response to the will of God, which guides us to the poor of our times. The people in need have many faces!
Being near to the people and to our Church are at the core of our Franciscan heritage. We are called to be a sign of living hope "for the good of all suffering humankind and to praise God”. This last sentence appears on the Decree of Papal Approbation of our Congregation and the General Constitution received from Pope Leo XIII in 1901.
The core of our congregation rests in "being and bringing the healing presence of Christ" into our world, wherever we are and whatever we do.
