From His fullness we have all received, grace in place of Grace! John 1:16

On the eve of the feast 'Our Lady of the Angels of Portiuncula' our dear Sister M. Reginette née Josefa Krapp, Hospital Sister of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis, was called home to God in St. Anna-Stift in Lohne-Kroge.

Sister M. Reginette was born on September 1, 1928 in Steinfeld, district Vechta. She entered our Congregation on August 13, 1955 and made her first profession of vows on May 3, 1958.

For many years, Sister M. Reginette committed herself lovingly as a nurse in various hospitals of our Congregation. From 1973 to 2002 she lived in the Motherhouse. During this time, she served for the first 16 years in St. Francis Hospital in Münster on the isolation ward and then in the serving kitchenette of the nursing station. Many people repeatedly experienced her helpfulness. Until 2002, she continued to work tirelessly and helpfully on the 'Johannesflur' in the Motherhouse in the care of our old and sick Sisters.

Sister M. Reginette lived by faith in the presence of God, especially in the Eucharist, as well as in community and personal prayer. Her life was marked by great kindness. With determination, she walked the path of a disciple of Christ in Franciscan simplicity and deep unity with God.

Over the past 15 years, Sister M. Reginette lived in St. Anna-Stift, Lohne-Kroge. Initially she committed herself with little household chores. In the last years she was progressively dependent upon help and care. She was very grateful for the loving care given to her.

Trusting God’s merciful love and goodness and with great gratitude, she returned her earthly life into the protective hands of God yesterday evening, about 11:00 PM.

In prayer and with gratitude, we commend Sister M. Reginette to God's love and care. May she be secure in His peace and experience the perfection she desired in the eternal home.
