Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Jn. 8.12
Tonight, November 18, 2020, in St. Heriburg-House, our dear Sister M. Arminda Lindemann called by God to himself in his eternal peace.
Sister M. Arminda was born on January 3, 1927 in Gronau and joined our congregation on August 8, 1952. She made her first profession on May 03, 1955.
Sister M. Arminda passed the state final examination in 1959 to qualify as a kindergarten and a day care teacher. She was then employed in the kindergarten in Metelen as directress until the fall of 1972. In November 1972 she took over the management of the kindergarten in Mühlen. Sister M. Arminda devoted herself with joy and much love to the children entrusted to her. She guided the young staff members well and was happy to help the parents of the children. In her straightforward and realistic manner, she attached great importance to sharing her faith in Jesus Christ with children, parents and staff and to imparting love for HIM.
In 1978 Sister M. Arminda returned to the motherhouse in Münster and worked in the education department until 1993. Afterwards she was responsible for the library until 2007. Sister M. Arminda was often to be found in the Adoration Chapel, took over many prayer hours and gladly included all the concerns that she recommended in her prayers. Faithful and trusting, she resolutely took the path of discipleship.
Sister M. Arminda lived in St. Heriburg House for a good four years. She was always interested in what was happening in politics, in the church and in our community. She was always happy to receive regular visits from the sisters. Lately she felt increasingly weak. She was expecting Christ, the Risen One, who brought her home to the eternal Father House early hours at about 2.00 a.m.
We thank God for the life of our Sister M. Arminda and ask HIM to reward her for all the goodness in her life and to accept her into the eternal home. In love and gratitude, we take leave of her and recommend her in prayer to the nearness and goodness of God.
Due to the current situation, the Eucharistic celebration will take place on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 2.00 p.m., only in the inner circle, in the chapel of St. Heriburg House; afterwards Sister M. Arminda will be buried in our Sisters' cemetery in Münster. May she rest in peace.
