The Tenth Annual Medical Camp was conducted in Anjali Niketan Health Center, Pithora, India, from October 8 to 10, 2017.
Prof. Dr. Michael Möllmann, together with eight medical team members and Sister M. Rita, General Councilor, from Muenster, Germany, worked with the Sisters in Pithora, India.
The generosity and selfless service offered by the Doctors, nurses, and medical technicians to the less privileged people in and around the local villages, was remarkable.
Many Sisters, as well as Postulants and Candidates, traveled from various communities and generously assisted the patients and Medical staff during the medical camp.
Because of a spirit of collaboration from all the staff members and volunteers, the camp was very successful. Approximately 365 persons were seen and treated during the camp.
People came from distant villages for Medical Consultations, Gynecological care, dental care, Pediatric and general health problems.
Approximately 25 “minor” surgical procedures were performed. All the patients and their families expressed their gratitude for the free Medical Care and consultations.
Plans are already in discussion for the next Medical Camp.
